The Importance of Regular Dog Walking May 14, 2016 – Posted in: Dogs

Let’s be honest, people lead busy lives. It seems that there never seems to be enough time in every day to get it all done.

People usually have the very best of intentions, but it is easy to overlook the importance of regular walks/exercise for our furry canine friends.

3 Reasons Your Pup Needs Regular Walks

Dogs need exercise

Most breeds need at least 30 minutes of continuous movement a day to stay healthy.

Socialization

It is important for dogs to get out in the world to meet a variety of different people, other dogs and acclimate themselves to various situations.

Limits Behaviour Problems

Dogs that get little to no regular exercise have tons of stored energy.

This energy is what gets them into trouble; think chewing, aggression, garbage rifling, rough play, barking.

Higher energy breeds require AT LEAST 30-60 minute walk every day.
